Dickinson wasn’t the only one with Kettle Kids on speed dial last night. London-based artist and certi watch guy Slawn pulled up wearing a yellow gold perfect replica Patek Philippe Nautilus 3800J. He picked up the piece from the brothers’ central London store on the morning of MOTY before slapping it on with a belter Martine Rose x Supreme brown suit.
It’s a mid-size UK luxury copy Patek Philippe Nautilus which was produced from the ‘80s until 2006, leaving the artist with loads of room for accessories. On the night, he paired the tasty ticker with a sapphire blue bracelet, which was also sourced by Kettle Kids. But in the spirit of keeping the watch purists happy, he wore the bracelet on his right wrist to avoid any stacking-related slander. “The Nautilus is a design icon,” says co-founder Jacob Hutson, “[It] has set the standard for the perfect anywhere anytime style of watch that could pair with the most formal of formal to the most casual of casual.”
It’s the kind of timepiece that leaves watch guys salivating. Designed by the GOAT, Gerald Genta, it’s one of those luxury sports watches that looks just as cold with a suit thanks to an 8mm case thickness. “Many question if a sports watch should be worn on the red carpet. When it comes to watches, I say the less rules the better, especially when there’s a vintage best fake Patek Philippe on the wrist,” says J.J. Owens, founder of The Daily Grail.
Slawn’s MOTY cheap super clone Patek Philippe Nautlius watches are a statement piece, for sure. “One glance through photos and you see an impressive assortment of modern Cartiers and Hublots – but as a lover of vintage, anytime a celebrity chooses to wear a non-production piece, I get excited – I mean there is arguably no better [flex] than a blue dial vintage Nautilus,” says Owens. “One of my personal favourites, the ref. 3800 is the perfect juxtaposition between classic and cool.”
Harris Dickinson and Slawn called in the big guns, digging deep for their really rare UK Swiss replica watches. These hard-to-come-by pieces deserve all the air time they can get, and at Men of the Year 2024, that’s exactly what they got.
